Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans): 890 runs

Gill, who has been dubbed the next “superstar,” was on fire in the just-completed IPL 2023. 

In the IPL, Gill made history by receiving a “Orange Cap” at an early age. After Virat Kohli, he was the only other Indian batsman to hit more than 800 runs in a single IPL season. Unfortunately, Gill was unsuccessful in getting GT to cross the finish line in the final. 

Gill scored 890 runs in 17 games with a strike rate of 157.80, an average of 59.33, four half-centuries, and three centuries. Gill scored three centuries during the 2023 IPL, which was the most for the entire season.

Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bangalore): 730 runs

The RCB captain had a spectacular run with the bat in 2018 IPL, scoring the second-most runs in the competition. Du Plessis topped the batting charts from the start of the competition, despite the fact that RCB was unable to advance to the playoffs. 

Du Plessis played in 14 games and amassed 730 runs with an average of 56.15, a strike rate of 153.68, eight half-centuries, and a top score of 84.

Devon Conway (Chennai Super Kings): 672 runs

The Kiwi opener had an outstanding year for CSK with the bat and was crucial to CSK’s effort to win the fifth championship. Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad consistently gave CSK strong beginnings, and Conway contributed several significant hits during the league stage. 

Conway scored 672 runs in 16 matches with a strike rate of 139.70, an average of 51.69, six half-centuries, and a top score of 92*.

Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore): 639 runs

Following a dry spell in the previous several seasons, “King” Kohli found his mojo once more in the IPL 2023. With his seventh century this season, Kohli surpassed Chris Gayle’s record for most IPL centuries. He also became the first player in IPL history to amass 7000+ runs. 

Virat scored 639 runs in 14 games with a strike rate of 139.82, an average of 53.25, with six fifty-pluses, a few hundreds, and a top score of 101*.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals): 625 runs

The debut season of the youthful and extraordinarily skilled Yashasvi Jaiswal’s career was the IPL 2023. It’s challenging to outperform players like Jos Butler and Sanju Samson, but Jaiswal succeeded with RR this season. 

Jaiswal broke KL Rahul and Pat Cummins’ record for the quickest half-century in IPL history against KKR (13 balls). 

In this IPL versus MI, Jaiswal produced an outstanding century (124 runs off 62 balls). 

Jaiswal scored 625 runs in 14 games with a strike rate of 163.61, an average of 48.07, and 5 half-centuries in addition to a century.
