CPL Champion of Previous Season

The CPL 2022 champion Jamaica Tallawahs beat the Barbados Royals by eight wickets to win the title. 

At Providence Stadium in Guyana, Jamaica Tallawahs defeated Barbados Royals by eight wickets in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2022) championship game. Jamaica won the CPL title three times, in 2013, 2016, and again in 2018.

With 13 fours and two sixes in his 50-ball 83 not out to help Tallawahs reach their 162 run goal with 23 balls remaining, Brandon King stole the show.

CPL 2023 Prediction

One of the best T20 competitions in the world has evolved, the Caribbean Premier League. The CPL 2023 season is scheduled to begin on August 16 and will be the league’s eleventh year. To win the coveted CPL trophy, six teams will face off against one another. The current champions, the Jamaica Tallawahs, captured their third championship last year. In the CPL 2023’s inaugural game, they will take against the Saint Lucia Kings. 

The teams have a new look as a result of the most recent draft selection. While new players have been signed for the upcoming season, many top players have been discarded.

We predict Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to win the CPL 2023 season based on our findings. After a disappointing performance in the 2022 season, we can claim that TKR has put together a team that could win the championship thanks to some wise draft choices.

Dwayne Bravo, one of the CPL’s biggest talents, has joined the TKR team, bringing Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, and Dwayne Bravo together in one team for the first time. They’re all three match-winning all-around players. They will have Sunil Narine’s support, another all-around superstar. In the previous season, Narine did rather well with both the bat and the ball. Martin Guptill, an experienced Kiwi opener, has also joined the TKR team. 

However, the TKR will include South African batter Rilee Rossouw and important emerging talent Nicholas Pooran. While Rossow has demonstrated his batting talent on numerous occasions, Pooran is currently the top batter for the West Indies T20 team and is also establishing a name for himself in the various T20 tournaments. 

Although the pace attack is frequently crucial on Caribbean grounds, only Pollard, Russell, and Bravo are considered to be medium pacers in the TKR. Although there isn’t a full-time, seasoned fast bowler, a potent spin assault will be available for the hitters. Sunil Narine, who took 11 wickets last season, West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein, and Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad round up the spin lineup.
